Coffee

Flat White at Three Rosettas / Drummoyne

I miss Australian coffee.
At first, I was skeptical about Australian coffee because I had heard that Australia has a strong coffee culture, and all I had or knew about for the first couple of weeks was instant coffee. Euuughh. Supermarkets even had coffee tea bags! It didn't make any sense how a country that loves coffee would have such a variety of instand, dissolve in hot water "coffee."
Needless to say, I found that Australian coffee is great in the cafe setting. I started enjoying espressos, even trying ristretto (and it was amazing). Back home, I like cappucinos, but in Australia, I liked flat whites best. And long blacks are disgusting.
I started drinking coffee without sugar. And now that I'm home, I really don't like flavored creamers either. They make all coffee taste the same - they taste like Coffeemate's French Vanilla creamer and not coffee. Now I'm trying coffee with milk.
Here are some cafes I visited

  • The Wedge (Glebe)
  • Tank (Drummoyne)
  • Lyons R.A.W. (Drummoyne)
  • Three Rosettas (one of my favorites, Drummoyne)
  • Kawa, Ampersand (Surry Hills)
  • Workshop Espresso (Town Hall)
and more, but I forget them now.
